Login Directions for Cool-eVirtual Classroom

Please conduct the following steps in the order listed. The first time you log in you will need to complete all steps. Each future login directions skip steps 2 through 4.

1) Click the login button to enter into the virtual classroom setup room or enter the URL of http://horizon.protechtraining.com into your web browser.

2) Click the “Setup Wizard” button on the right side of the page of virtual classroom setup room.

a. Make sure your microphone and speakers are installed and working properly before you run the wizard. You must only run the wizard once and then you will be able to enter the classroom without the wizard in future logins.

b. In the windows pop up blocker, right click on the popup when it arrives and chose to allow all popups from this site.

c. Java and text will upload without an issue.

d. Click run and always trust buttons on the security window that opens after you click the next button

e. Make sure your speakers are on, the system will recognize them and play a message for you, if you hear the message, click next.

f. When you hear the tones, hold down the talk button to see if you hear your voice in the classroom. If you do, then click next.

g. Click no or skip when prompted to download or update QuickTime. Wait for the last test to see if a moving picture with sound appears in center of page. If so, click next. If the video does not appear, click the troubleshoot button.

3) Once the wizard has successful completed installing or checking all hardware and software, please close or minimize the wizard window, and you should still be in the virtual classroom lobby.

4) Click on button entitled, “Participant Login”

5) Use the word protech as the room ID password. Type you name below the room ID. This will be your name that shows up in the room. Please use your first and last name when entering your name, and please do not use nicknames, especially ones that are inappropriate. Once you have entered you name, you will be transported to the virtual classroom main lobby.

6) Once in the main lobby, please find and click “Mr. Cooley’s Room” that can be found under the Open Rooms tab.

7) You should be transported to my virtual classroom. When you enter the room, please announce yourself and wait for the instructor to recognize that you are now in the classroom.

8) Once in the chat room, Mr. Cooley will instruct those in the session how to interact with the technology in the virtual classroom.
