Cool-eTech Info

I decided to create a page that displayed all the amazing technology tools that I have been so fortunate to acquire from grants and networking with other tech nerds, such as myself.  The equipment that your students are able to use, manipulate, and participate with in class with help me create an educational environment that will motivate the most difficult of students.  I only share this information with you because this equipment and educational experience will excite your child.  I have shared countless conversations with parents about how they are amazing that their child is actually excited about MATH, of all things!!!

By displaying the equipment I use in my classroom, the parents of Franklin Regional will gain the context needed to understand some of the following tech jargon used in class:  hand-held devices, interactive whiteboard, and gismos are just a few of these terms that you will have questions about.

eInstruction graciously sent me a 32 pack of the CPS handheld devices worth over $3,000 for free just so I could truly impact my students with the best devices on the planet.  These devices allow me to do the following with the students:

Check mastery of classwork or homework

Take and grade all quizzes and tests and place completed grade in electronic gradebook

The Mobilepresenter BT II is a Bluetooth tablet that can control my interactive whiteboard from anywhere in the classroom.  I can use the tablet as a mobile mousepad and the pen as the mouse, or I can switch the pen into an interactive pen that can annotate any computer application or website I want to use to teach the Algebraic curriculum at hand.  I received this $500 device free of charge by conducting an case study with Numonics Corporation that was used in their news article as a form of advertising the company's amazing products.
