The
students of the T-Rex House participated a contest to raise the most
money and goods for the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund. The contest
was organized and conducted through Mr. Cooley's classroom in conjunction
with the football program incentives he runs with his students.
Of Mr. Cooley's 5 math classes, whatever class raised the most money and
goods would receive a free pizza party. T-Rex students collected
an amazing $
1,837.50
in donations from family and neighbors for the victims of Hurricane
Katrina! The students also collected between an estimated
$300-400 of goods
such as clothing, bottled water, and daily needs for the victims of the devastation.
Overall, the estimated generosity of T-Rex family, neighbors, and
friends is over $2,200!!!!
