20/7
is a set of speed and accuracy practice sheets to be used with all
middle school students to challenge them to increase their speed and
accuracy with basic mental and paper-and-pencil computation. Each
20/7 is recommended as a seven minute activity, hence the name, 20
problems in 7 minutes.
I know this goal is highly unlikely for any student new to seventh
grade, but through hard work and patience, one will see that the goal of
correctly answering all 20 problems in 7 minutes is highly attainable!!
The 20/7 sheets are set to assess skills needed at some point during the
school year. The 20/7 sheets are arranged in a sequential order of
difficulty. Each form (1-5) of 20/7 contains three parallel sets (a, b,
& c) of problems at the same level of difficulty. Each
successively numbered form is increasingly challenging. As
students build their speed and accuracy with each form, they are
challenged by the problems on the next form.
Please click on the practice sheet you wish to complete and print
it out on your printer. I have included keys for each sheet so
that the students or parents can check their progress in mastering these
skills. Good luck!! |
